Frequently Asked Questions

What are your hours?

During the pandemic, we are open from Mondays through Thursdays from 10am to 5pm.

When conditions improve, we will return to our regular schedule: Mondays 11:00am - 6:00 pm, Tuesdays through Thursdays 10am to 5pm, and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm.

We are closed on Friday and Sunday.

How do I get a library card?

Library cards are free for residents of Fayette, Greene, & Washington Counties. To apply for a library card, present a valid copy of your driver's license or other identification with your current address. Since we are a WAGGIN Library, your library card can be used at 20 different libraries across Fayette, Greene, & Washington county.

How many items can I check out?

We have an item limit of 10. The only other item limit is 3 DVD items per card at any given time!

Do you have internet/WiFi?

Yes! Our library is equipped with high-speed internet access and free Wi-Fi during open library hours.

Do you offer GED classes?

Currently, we do not have onsite General Equivalency Diploma classes.

Do you take book donations?

We welcome your book donations of books copyright date 2010 or newer and in good condition. If we can't use them for our collection, we pass them onto the Friends of the Library for their book sale, or we pass them onto another library in need. We are not able to accept text books, encyclopedias, or magazines.

Are there fines for overdue materials?

Print materials are .25¢  per day, and audio-visual materials are $1.00 per day. Electronic resources do not have fines or overdues.

What are some of the services that you offer?

We offer normal library services such as item check outs, copying, faxing, internet access, and other printing needs. We also offer monthly programming for children and adults. Make sure to check our calendar page for up to date information!
